About Me:
I hail from the great state of Iowa, a place I hold in nothing but the highest regard. I’ve lived in the DC area since 2004 (as well as a few times before), and I love it here. It’s awesome. I don’t imagine I’ll be leaving anytime soon.
I live in Arlington, with my boyfriend Steve, who has been by my side for over 4 years now, if you can believe it. He’s a mild-mannered reporter by day and a rock star by night. He’s awesome. We also have two cats—Kesey and Navin—who are both total jerks.
I have a BA in Art/Art History and my MA is in Arts Management. Basically, I am one of those people who aspired to be an artist but was too chicken to pursue it as a career, so I spent years studying other artists’ work, and then more years working in museums and galleries. My current job affords me a nice balance of design work, technical work, and interaction with creative people. It’s awesome.
