About This Blog

I bought the domain onyah.com in June 2004. I’d just finished grad school, where I’d finally gotten a chance to learn HTML.  While I toyed around with several different uses for the domain for a while, I eventually created a blog, which I faithfully updated for years. But, eventually, the old-skool-ness of my static HTML blog got to be too annoying, and I stopped blogging on onyah.com.  Instead, I started up a Blogspot blog called Onyah is a Loser, dedicated to my 2009 resolution to lose some freaking weight already (here it is, six months later, and I’m happy to say my resolution is still going strong).

But once my annual web hosting subscription was up, I was able to upgrade onyah.com to a savvier server that could handle WordPress, and www.onyah.com was reborn in its current form. Which means—yay!—I can blog again!  Since I’ve really gotten into it, I suspect I’ll continue to report on food, cooking, health, weight loss, exercise (swimming!), and so on.

OH!  And.  In case you’re wondering… Onyah is a nickname of mine.  It’s what I called myself when I was a kid and couldn’t pronounce my real name.
